Taiwan’s Ministry of Environment and Miaoli County signed a cooperation agreement to create a carbon reduction and waste reduction area in Zhunan Township.

Miaoli Animal Care and Health Office in Taiwan is set to open adoption for a common snapping turtle on Nov. 22 if unclaimed. The turtle, an invasive species, was found in Zhunan Township. Adoption requires proof of experience or animal protection courses and adequate space.

Miaoli County reports its first local dengue fever case of 2023, involving a man in his 30s from Zhunan Township. Health officials are investigating the source.
